Funeral services for Robert E. “Bobby” Cook, 77, of Hopkinsville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Bobby Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery in Trigg County. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at the funeral home.

Mr. Cook passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

He was born in Hopkinsville on January 26, 1934 to Ed Cook of Hopkinsville and the late Lillie Mae Blevins Cook. Robert E. “Bobby” Cook was of the Protestant faith. He retired as the Christian County police chief.

Survivors include his father, John Edward Cook of Hopkinsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Jim East of Hopkinsville, Gaye and Steve Nunn of Hopkinsville and Julie and Bert Partain of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Walter “Sonny” Cook of Hopkinsville and Roy “Buddy” Cook of Hopkinsville; sister Martha Owen of Hopkinsville; grandchildren Shannon Taylor, Elliott Wall and Alyson Partain; great grandchildren Dylan Colley and Marley Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Mae Blevins Cook, wife Janice Cook and first wife Betty Cook.
