To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be a full-time WKCTC student earning at least a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) and successfully completing 12 hours or more of course work numbered 100 or above for the academic term.
West Kentucky Community and Technical College is a member of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and is a public, two-year, degree-granting institution.
The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees. WKCTC’s history dates back to 1909 when one parent institution, West Kentucky Technical College, was established as a teacher training college for African-Americans.
Its other parent institution, Paducah Community College, was formed as a junior college in 1932. The two colleges were consolidated in 2003 and now proudly bear the name West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
