Like previous weigh-ins, it was held in the room at Trigg County Hospital where the hospital’s board of trustees meet every month. The original weigh-in was scheduled for last Monday, but the snow forced them to end it at noon.
“It should be at least as big, if not possibly a little bit bigger,” said Audra Hodges, director of public relations and marketing for Trigg County Hospital.
Thursday’s weigh-in started at noon and ended at 6 p.m., said Hodges. She also said that while it was a bit slow on Thursday, but the Monday weigh-in was actually fairly busy before they had to cut it short.
Like in the past, this year’s program is sponsored by local businesses such as Hancock’s Neighborhood Market, the hospital, Curves of Cadiz and WKDZ Radio, said Hodges, who added that this year the hospital is partnering with the Pennyrile Area Health Department, the University of Kentucky Extension Office and Culligan Water.
“So, we’re growing,” Hodges said.
