The Lake Barkley banquet is traditionally one of the top ten attended Ducks Unlimited banquets in Kentucky and this year’s event is planned to be top-notch. Included in the evening’s events are games and prizes for youth attendees, silent and live auctions, raffle tables and door prizes. Items and prizes include a large selection of ladies items, youth items, 15 guns and a good selection of wildlife prints.
A special tribute to one of their strongest members and supporters – Gordon Mitchell will be conducted. A Henry 44 Magnum rifle will be auctioned and the proceeds will be donated to one of Gordon’s favorite activities.
The Lake Barkley Chapter was recently recognized by Ducks Unlimited National for preserving over 200 acres of Kentucky wetlands. Events like the Barkley Annual Banquet allow Ducks Unlimited to continue to preserve and protect valuable wetlands and habitat.
