Funeral services for Jan Dean Jordan, 75, of Cadiz, were held Friday, March 11, 2011 at Alexander East Chapel in Evansville, Ind. Pastor Dale Beaver officiated. Burial followed in Alexander Memorial Park.

Mr. Jordan passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at his home. He was born November 12, 1935, in Evansville, Ind..

He was a 1953 graduate of Bosse High School and a veteran of the US Air Force. He attended Indiana University and graduated from Evansville College in 1959 with a BS in Marketing. He owned and operated Evansville Cut Flower Company until 1968, worked for National City Bank as a Trust Officer until 1983 and owned and operated Jordan Development Corporation until 2008. He held an Indiana Real Estate Broker’s License, co-owned Rivertown Realty and owned Homehunters of Greater Evansville. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Employee Benefit Council, Estate Planning Council, Twilight Optimist Club in Evansville, Elks Lodge in Boonville, Masonic Temple in Newburgh, Hadi Shrine Temple in Evansville, and The Heritage Foundation. In 1978 he was the Assistant Scout Master of Troop 325 of Newburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Victor Jordan Jr.; and sister, Julieanne Jordan Joerg.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bobbi (Reinicke) Jordan; son Jan Dean Jordan, Jr. and wife, Sheila; son Jeffery Victor Jordan; daughter Bonnie Andersen and husband, Clayton; 11 granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
