Funeral services for Ruth Hite Ricks, 80, of Goodlettsville, Tenn., formerly of Gracey, were held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Bob McIntosh officiated. Burial was in Robertson Cemetery. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ricks died of natural causes at 8:53 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 at her home.

She was born April 21, 1930 in Trigg County to the late Herman Joseph Hite and Eula Blain Overby Hite. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tenn. She was a retired supervisor for Washington Manufacturing Company in Nashville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Frederick Hicks; one brother, Rudolph Hite; one sister, Imogene Hite P’Pool; one nephew, Kelly P’Pool; and one niece, Martha Carol Hite Kirkman.

Survivors include four nephews, James Harrell Hite (and wife Diane) of Christian County, David Hite (and wife Helen) of Cadiz, Jeff Hite (and wife Deidra) of Cadiz and Donald L. P’Pool (and wife Linda Gray) of Bowling Green; one niece, Betty Jean Lester (and husband Bob) of Cadiz; one niece-in-law, Peggy P’Pool of Cadiz and one nephew –in-law, Doris Kirkman of Bowling Green.

Pallbearers were David Hite, Jeff Hite, James Hite, Donald L. P’Pool, Donald Ray Bush, Jr. and Kerry Lynn Lester. Music was provided by Clarissa King, pianist.
