Mr. Boren died of natural causes at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville.
He was born August 10, 1937 in Trigg County to the late Roy Adolph Boren and Mavis Curry Boren.
He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Holder Boren.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd O. Boren of Cadiz; one daughter, Janet Calhoun (and husband Michael) of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren, Zach and Nick Calhoun both of Hopkinsville, Lauren Calhoun of Kennesaw, Ga., Lloyd Boren, II, of Salina, Kan., and Heather Boren Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas; three great grandchildren, Haeden Boren of Salina, Kan., Tyler Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Natalie Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Zach and Nick Calhoun, Randy, Larry, and Perry Boren and Ricky Howell. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Thomas, Kelsie Calhoun and Norris Futrell. Music will be provided by Barbara Jean Futrell, pianist, and Stacy Futrell and Janay Futrell, vocalists.
