Funeral services for Mildred Sue Cowan, 74, of Hopkinsville, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. The Rev. Bob Sipper will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Cowan died following a long illness at 2:23 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

She was born June 10, 1936 in Christian County to the late Durwood “Jack” and Ethel Wagner Meacham. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one son, Mike Cowan.

Survivors include three brothers, Bobby Meacham (and wife Diane) of Columbia, Tenn., Randall Meacham (and wife Karen) of Hopkinsville, and Gary Meacham (and wife Bertha) of Maysville; one daughter, Kay Hart (and husband Danny) of Sebring, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brian Hart, Chris, Wesley and Ashley Cowan; and three great-grandchildren, Max Daniel Hart, Kenny and Katherine Fehr.
