Funeral services for Armen G. Boranian, 87, of Hopkinsville, were held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Dr. Howard Willen officiated. Burial with military rites followed in Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Boranian died of natural causes at 10:35 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 at Covington’s Convalescent and Rehab Center in Hopkinsville.

He was born June 1, 1923 in Chicago, Ill. to the late H.H. Boranian and Armine Gulian Boranian.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville. Mr. Boranian retired from GAF Corporation as a chemical engineer and consultant. He was a life long member of the VFW Post 1913 in Hopkinsville and was a United States Army veteran serving in WWII.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Sue Collins Boranian; and one daughter, Katherine Ann Hesse.

Survivors include one sister, Beatrice Scroggin of Chicago, Ill.; two sons, Richard Armen Boranian of Columbia, S. C. and David Bruce Boranian (and wife Sandra) of Lavergne, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
