Mrs. Haskins died of natural causes at 11:55 a.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn.
She was born June 15, 1921 in Martin County Ind. to Willard Hobart and Zulah Marie Cannon Moore.
She was a member of the Cadiz United Methodist Church. She graduated from Plainville High School in 1939. She was very active with the Free Methodist Church in Indiana where she was the director of many Christmas and Easter plays, where she taught Sunday school and was the VBS director for many years. She was a member of the Mission Circle, Homemakers Club, and served on the Smith Township Advisory Board in Greene, Co., Ind. She was a 4-H leader. Over the years, she had been employed at the Woolworth 5-10, Montgomery Ward, Spiegel’s and JC Penney Co. as a cash auditor. She was employed at Indiana State Forestry Office, school secretary and trustee secretary. She also had written many poems and stories throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Haskins; and her parents,
Willard Hobart and Zulah Marie Cannon Moore and Annie and Frank Huebner; one brother, Lawrence Moore; one sister, Betty Stephens and one granddaughter, Sara Clinkenbeard.
She is survived by one son, Robert Haskins (and wife Deborah Scott) of Asheville, N. C.; two daughters, Donna Clinkenbeard (and husband Marc) of Cadiz, and Judy Hayes of Woodstock, Ga.; three grandchildren, Steve Hayes of Woodstock, Ga., Dr. Julie Hayes of Parker, Colo. and Nathan Clinkenbeard (and wife Trina) of Cadiz; and three great grandchildren, Hunter and Jaxson Clinkenbeard of Cadiz and Ethan Hayes of Woodstock, Ga.
