Mrs. Hancock died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at her residence.
She was born September 2, 1948 in Hopkins County to her parents, James Fain and Ruth Edna Marks Ferguson.
For 15 years she was a property manager for Heritage Management. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Temple.
Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Pagano Stevens, Lisa Pagano Ray and Tracey Pagano McGee, all of Dawson Springs; four sisters, Pamela Ferguson and Tammy Newberry, both of Dawson Springs, Darla Holt of Christian County and Paula Aiken of Portland, Ore.; three brothers, Mitchell Ferguson of Providence, Michael Ferguson of Dawson Springs and Mark Ferguson of Richland; six grandchildren, Josh Stevens, Zach Stevens, Ryan Pagano, Blake Todd, Presley Todd and Hunter McGee; two great-grandchildren, Toby Stevens and Madelyn Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest Lane Hancock.
Pallbearers were Josh Stevens, Ryan Pagano, Jamie Swatzell, Zach Stevens, Blake Todd and Aaron Davis.
