On July 20, I left a message for our new sheriff. He did not call me. Earlier I left a message for a deputy to call me, again no call after seven weeks. The new sheriff asked for and got my vote. While I feel both men are gentlemen, they should return calls. I had more information for the deputy. I also had a new and very strange incident to report to the sheriff. The previous sheriff was called three times and two visits to his office. This was in reference to a stolen trailer. No response. There must be a procedure that does not allow calls from law enforcement to Trigg County citizens who pays them.
