Mr. Brashear died following a short illness at 8:37 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
He was born February 5, 1925 to the late Mack Brashears and Ardis Stewart Brashears.
Thomas Arnold was of the Baptist faith. He was a farmer and wood worker who retired in 2000.
He was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Brashears.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Colley Brashears; one sister, Maybelle Cortner of Cerulean; one daughter, Sherry Finley of Gainesville, Ga.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sinking Fork Christian Church Building Fund.
