A Linton man died Tuesday morning in a hay baler accident, according to a press release by Katrina Ellington of the Kentucky State Police.

Benuel Stoltzfus, 19, died in a field near his home while operating a hay baler, and the KSP were requested to assist in the investigation, the report stated.

Stoltzfus was pronounced dead at the scene by Trigg County Coroner John Mark Vinson and next of kin has been notified, but at press time there was no autopsy scheduled and no foul play was suspected, Ellington wrote.

KSP Trooper Billy Over is continuing the investigation with the help of the Trigg County Coroner’s Office, said Ellington. KSP were assisted at the scene by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, Trigg County Rescue, the ambulance service and others.
