A Hazel woman died and a Murray woman and a Whitehall, N.Y., man were injured as a result of a two-vehicle wreck at around noonlast Wednesday at the western intersection of U.S. 68/Ky. 80 and Main Street in Cadiz, said Gary Fraser of the Kentucky State Police.

Andrea Hite, 32, of Hazel, was pronounced dead at Trigg County Hospital by Trigg County Coroner John Mark Vinson at about 1 p.m. after being taken there by Trigg County Emergency Medical Service (EMS). She was a passenger in an SUV being driven by Ronda Lenton, 28, of Murray, the report said.

Lenton was flown by helicopter to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., where she underwent surgery and was in critical condition, while Bernard Eagan, 42, of Whitehall, N.Y., was taken by Trigg County EMS to Trigg County Hospital, where he was treated and released, Fraser wrote.
