After an executive session, the Cadiz/Trigg County Economic Development Commission (EDC) passed its FY 2011/2012 budget when it met Thursday morning at the Commerce Center.

The budget as adopted totals $103,900. Among the major project revenue is $15,000 from the City of Cadiz, $35,000 from the Trigg County Fiscal Court, $10,000 from the Bank of Cadiz. $13,500 from equity and $12,000 each from a Benson lease and a crop lease. Much of the revenue will go to salaries, debt service, business activities and travel.

EDC Chairman Dan Bozarth said they had to do some “soul searching” about what to cut and what to keep because they will be getting $15,000 less from the Cadiz City Council than they have been for the past eight or so years.
