Cadiz Baptist Church Pastor Kevin Roberts and Linda Rhudy, head teacher at Cadiz Baptist Church’s Christian Academy, officially cut the ribbon at a ceremony at the church organized last week by the Cadiz/Trigg County Chamber of Commerce. Rhudy said that although she has been at this for about 11 years, this will be her first year at Cadiz Baptist Church.
“I hope when they get to Kindergarten, they’ll be prepared for whatever comes before them,” Rhudy said. “I know when I opened up back in 2000, we had a Relay for Life meeting, and I just asked some of the parents there … ‘Do you think a Christian pre-school would go?’ And they were talking and said, ‘Yes, we need something like that.’”
Currently, it consists of a pre-school program for kids getting ready for Kindergarten, but they also cater to one- and two-year olds in another room, and they have as a licensed nursery as well, although that hasn’t been used yet, Rhudy said.
