Linda Rhudy, director of the Cadiz Baptist Church’s Christian Academy, has been teaching pre-Kindergarten kids since she retired from the Trigg County School System almost 11 years ago, but this is her first year doing that at CBC.

“I hope when they get to Kindergarten, they’ll be prepared for whatever comes before them,” Rhudy said. “I know when I opened up back in 2000, we had a Relay for Life meeting, and I just asked some of the parents there … ‘Do you think a Christian pre-school would go?’ And they were talking and said, ‘Yes, we need something like that.’”

Currently, it consists of a pre-school program for kids getting ready for Kindergarten, but they also cater to one- and two-year olds in another room, and they have as a licensed nursery as well, although that hasn’t been used yet, Rhudy said.
