Funeral services for the Rev. James J. Shuck, 85, of Cadiz, were held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home in Anderson, Ind. Jay Shuck and The Revs. James Shuck, and Paul Trent officiated. Burial followed in the Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, Ind. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

The Rev. Shuck died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz. He was retired from General Motors/Medora Wesleyan of Anderson, Ind. Rev. Shuck was a pastor at South Anderson Wesleyan Church, Alexandria Wesleyan Church, and Medora Wesleyan Church. He was a member of Central Wesleyan Church in Anderson, Ind. and was active in foreign missions, particularly Mission Builders for Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Shuck and Minnie Shuck; his wife Virginia Shuck; and two grandchildren, John Shuck, Jr. and Jay Shuck.

Survivors include one brother, William Shuck of Anderson, Ind.; two sisters, Betty Allen of Muncie, Ind. and Mary Ann Salisbury of Anderson, Ind. ; three sons, Rev. James Shuck of Cadiz, Jay Shuck of Madisonville and John Shuck of Anderson, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Brian, Brad, Jason, Scott, Teresa, Alissa, Adam and Austin Shuck; and ten great-grandchildren.
