Trigg County picked up a 7-3 win at Reidland last Tuesday but fell into second place in the 4th District with a 5-4 loss Monday against Caldwell County.

“We never really got going until the last 20 minutes or so at Reidland, and that’s when we blew it open,” Trigg head coach Josh Nichols said. “I was disappointed that we gave up 3 goals because we didn’t make them earn them.”

Blaine Alexander led the ‘Cats with three goals. Ben Wigand finished with two goals and two assists, Romaine Cunningham had a goal and an assist, Colten Bridges netted a goal and Clark Adams had an assist.

Monday, the Wildcats led 3-2 with 11 minutes left but “just collapsed defensively,” Nichols said.
