Funeral services for Barbara Hawkins Watson, 78, of Princeton, were held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Ronnie Sivells and Bro. Leslie Joyce officiated. Burial followed in the Eddy Creek Church Cemetery. Morgan’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Watson died following a short illness at 7:25 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at her residence.

Barbara was born March 18, 1933 in Trigg County to the late John Malone and Eliza Ann Faughn Malone.

She was a retired nurse and was a member of Eddy Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Dobbins; one half-sister, Sudie Mae Cunningham; one half-brother, Jack Malone; and one son, Ricky Hawkins.

Survivors include her husband, Harley Watson, Sr.; one sister Garvie Gray of Cadiz; two daughters, Cathy Peace of Cadiz and Laura Dauber of Central City; one step-son, Harley Watson, Jr. of Princeton; six grandchildren, Matt Hawkins, Craig Hawkins, Angie Reynolds, Briana Humphries, Bryant Hawkins and Britty Dauber; 6 great-grandchildren, Katlin Hawkins, Hunter Reynolds, Jay Humphries, Hayden Reynolds, Jon Humphries and Hallie Reynolds.
