Lauren Frazier finished last week with 99 career goals. Her assault on Trigg County’s soccer record books was set to continue Tuesday at Crittenden County (results unavailable at press time).

Trigg improved its record to 6-5 last week, defeating Dawson Springs 4-0 and McLean County 4-1 and losing 3-2 to Mayfield.

Frazier scored two goals Saturday at McLean. Hannah Futrell and Brittany Shafer added one apiece.

Thursday, the Lady ‘Cats couldn’t complete a comeback against Mayfield.

“The girls seemed very pumped and ready knowing they were going into a tough and physical game,” Trigg head coach Rachel Longley said. “However, we were unprepared defensively against their dangerous players up front. Also, we were struggling being outnumbered in the midfield. When we went 1-0 down, we began to play to the effort level that was needed for a game like this.”
