Graveside services for Brooklyn Danielle Tapla Simmons, infant, of Princeton, were held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Wall Cemetery in Trigg County. The Rev. Harold Greenfield officiated. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Brooklyn died at 2:11 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville.

She was born Monday, September 19, 2011 to Arquimides Tapla Chavez and Samantha Simmons of Princeton.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bruce Simmons.

Survivors include her father, Arquimides Tapla Chavez of Princeton; her mother, Samantha Simmons of Princeton; two brothers, Arquimides and Mitchell Tapla of Mexico; one sister, Peyten Simmons of the home, grandparents, Zina and Tulsa Lewis of Princeton; great-grandmother, Agnes Ice of Evansville, Ind.; two uncles, Allen Simmons of Evansville, Ind. and Jeremy Simmons of Cadiz; one aunt, Lillian Simmons of Evansville, Ind.; and one cousin, Alaina Simmons of Cadiz.
