Mr. Stovall died of natural causes at 8:38 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
He was born October 1, 1936 in Lyon County to the late Eugene and Laura Bell Fitts Stovall.
Mr. Stovall was the co-owner of Ms. Malva’s Antique Mall, which he had operated for 21 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He served as treasurer of Trigg County Merchants Association, he was a member of Cadiz Trigg County Chamber of Commerce, Trigg County Historical Society and the Cadiz Rotary Club. He also had served as a former city councilman. Mr. Stovall had served and been active in several other committees throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Atkinson.
Survivors include his wife, Malva Stovall of Cadiz; one brother, Marvin Stovall (and wife Sandy) of Princeton; two sisters, Linda Story (and husband Wayne) of Princeton and Laurette Beller of Clark, Mo.; three sons, Steve Stovall (and wife Sandy) of Kuttawa, Rusty Stovall (and wife Lorraine) of Olatha, Kan. and Curtis Mullinax (and wife Melissa) of Calvert City; four daughters, Carla Walker (and husband Darrell) of Paducah, Victoria Beal (and husband Garry) of Benton, Debbie Tubbs (and husband Quenice) of Calvert City and Carole Harper (and husband Mitch) of Benton; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Mitch Harper, Darrell Walker, Quenice Tubbs, Garry Beal, Marty Tubbs and Adam Mullinax.
