Mrs. Coggins died of natural causes at 11:59 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at her residence in Pembroke.
She was born November 20, 1935 in Christian County to the late R.W. and Dorothy Bracey Jeffries.
She worked in childcare at First Baptist Church and Casky Baptist Church. She was a member of Casky Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Headley Eugene Coggins; one brother, Jeff Jeffries; two sons, Bobby Coggins and David Coggins.
She is survived by one sister, Jo Ann Walters of Pembroke; one daughter, Pam Hensley of Cadiz; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Coggins of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren, Kerri Blades, Genia Key, Lynn Sumner, and Amber and Josh Coggins; nine great-grandchildren, Drew and Makenzie Blades, Taylor Sumner, Logan Greene, Peyton and Madison Sumner, Ava, Dorothy and Amelia Key; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Blades.
