Funeral services for Golene Futrell, 76, of Cadiz, were held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. John Mitchell officiated. Burial followed in the Futrell Cemetery. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Futrell died of natural causes the morning of Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born November 15, 1934 in Benton to the late Scott Trimble and Lillie Coomer Trimble.

She was a member of the Rock Front Baptist Church and was a retired cook with the Pennyrile Allied Community Service.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Garlon and Gene Trimble; two sisters, Goldie and Geneva Trimble; and one daughter Rhonda Harris.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lamar Futrell of Cadiz; one sister, Gustie Henson of Benton; four sons, Ricky Harris of Dexter, Ralph Harris (and wife Peggy) of Cadiz, Jeff Futrell (and wife Gina) of Cadiz and Scotty Futrell (and wife Marilyn) of Cadiz; three daughters, Ramona Porter (and husband Alan) of Cadiz, Kellie Bush (and husband Patrick) of Cadiz and Betty Boyd (and husband Donnie) of Gracey; 23 grandchildren; Stephanie Hampton, Candi Harris, Chad Futrell, Amanda Gresham, Kayce Cooper, Zack Harris, Dustin Harris, Cagney Porter, Marci Moser, Haley Harris, Heather Futrell, Ashlee Futrell, Brittany Futrell, Courtney Futrell, Tanna Bush, Brady Bush, Donna McGee, Becky Walker, Mark Porter, Jason Porter, Tabitha Wright, David Stone and Emily Wadley; 24 great-grandchildren, Ben Futrell, Tyler Harris, Tucker Futrell, Ali Cooper, Ryan Hampton, Paradise Harris, Chase Hampton, Madilynn Moser, Keira Porter, Malachi Harris, Alana Cooper, Carsen Gresham, Colton Moser, Dayton Harris, Brilee Higgns, Britttany Porter, Jacob Adcock, Cameron Porter, Michael Wright, Jr., Elle Wright, CJ Creamer, Nicholas Creamer, Jordan McGee and Katie Walker; two great-great grandchildren, Leland and Layton Creamer; and two sister-in-laws, Sue Trimble of Murray and Mary Dean Futrell of Cadiz.

Pallbearers were Chad Futrell, Zachary Harris, Cagney Porter, Dustin Harris, David Stone, Brent Cooper, Brian Higgins and Fred Horton. Music was provided by Ricky Harris, vocalist and Clarissa King, pianist.
