I have found something to be very true since then. When someone approaches me and mentions my dad it brings me a great deal of happiness. This summer I met Mr. Bobby Lewis from Caldwell County. Mr. Lewis is a magistrate on Caldwell County’s fiscal court and we met at a training seminar. It just so happens to be that Mr. Lewis and my dad had attended school together in Caldwell County many years ago.
Well, just a few weeks back, I received an envelop in the mail from Mr. Lewis. Turns out it was annual pictures from when dad was a member of the Caldwell County football team. I had never seen any of those pictures. Since it was 1952, he must have been a freshman. His older brother Kenneth was also pictured.
Since Trigg and Caldwell are so closely connected I thought everyone might enjoy this old picture. You might even see a few other folks that went on to spend a good portion of their adult lives in Trigg County. Let me know if you do. Hint, I think you might find Oscar Mitchell in there somewhere.
