Funeral services for Sudie Lemmons, 99, of Cadiz, were held Friday, November 4, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Randall Evans officiated. Burial followed in the Adams Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lemmons died of natural causes at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz.

She was born August 2, 1912 in Trigg County to the late Felix Grundy and Elsie L. Gardner Mitchell.

She was a member of Cadiz Church of Christ and she was a retired seamstress.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Amos Gardner; and five sisters, Alice Wadlington, Effie Stewart, Betty Devine, Birdie Weaver and Martha Bell Wadlington.

She is survived by one son Otis “Hop” McAlister of Springfield, Tenn.; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one nephew, Doug Wadlinton of Cadiz; and two nieces, Lindah Winstead of Cadiz and Agnes Davis of Lacy.

Pallbearers were Tim Wadlinton, Ernie Wadlington, Joshua Wadlinton, Wesley Croom, Kenneth Butts and Hal Choate.
