Mr. Thomas died of natural causes at 8:25 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at his home in San Antonio, Texas.
He was born November 17, 1926 in Trigg County to the late Howard Ranson Thomas, Sr. and Ruth Hulse Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was of the Methodist faith. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired systems engineer. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Korean War Association and MENSA.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorris Thomas; second wife, Virgie Thomas; and one brother, Howard Ranson Thomas, Jr.
He is survived by two daughters, Mitzi Lawson (and husband Thomas) of San Antonio, Texas and Teresa Bailey of Bowling Green; one son, Jim Thomas (and wife Susan) of Friendship, Texas; seven grandchildren, Christian Lawson, Sean Lawson, Tristan Lawson, Shannon Knight, Shane Knight, Erin Gorkiewicz and Rachel Ramsey; and four great grandchildren, Tyler Knight, Connor Knight, Henry Knight and Madison Welch.
