Funeral services for Frances Virgilene Hancock Francis Laws, 90, of Cadiz, were held Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz, officiated by Bradley Richard. Burial followed in Trigg Memory Acres. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Laws died of natural causes at 6:05 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
She was born June 12, 1921 in Stewart County Tenn. to the late Ernest Warfield and Iva Lois Reynolds Hancock.
Mrs. Laws was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Eugene Francis, Sr.; second husband, William F. Laws; six sisters, Hazel Lyle, Beulah Goldman, Vesta Hancock, Macel McFarland, Stella Melton and Annie Laura Hooker; brother Brandon Bracey and son Garrison Francis.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Francis (and wife Ellen) of Lafayette and Marvin Francis, II of Cadiz; nine grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ben Francis, Jason Lancaster, Justin Adams and Marlon Francis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
