Trigg students experience opera at school

Performers with the Lexington Opera Society and the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre performed for Trigg County students recently.

It is never too early to learn about careers. Our community members have provided speeches, demonstrations, and storytelling to discuss their careers and education.

To expand our horizons in the arts, the Schmidt Opera Outreach Program, the Lexington Opera Society and the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre could provide experiences in the career of opera singer. On Nov., again with help from our community, the dream of becoming an opera star was fulfilled.

Cheers of Bravo, Brava and Bravi were heard from the students of Trigg County Primary School as the UK Opera Theatre performed Little Red’s Most Unusual Day. This was a funny and smart retelling of Little Red Riding Hood designed to help children understand the possible dangers of interacting with strangers and obeying what parents tell you to do.
