To the Editor:

Driving to Hopkinsville on Saturday morning for some shopping, the car just up and quit on Ky. 164, and in a cell phone dead zone to boot. Thanks to the kindness of strangers, friends and AAA, we made it back home safely.

Need to especially thank the Bridges for taking strangers in and letting us use their phone, giving us rides back and forth to the car and offering to give us other rides if needed. Also, to Stan and Fran for giving us a ride home after we dropped off the car, and John and Mike for following up on our calls to them. Lots of help from the Riddle Towing driver and Ragon’s Automotive crew to work on the car on a Saturday.

Goes to show the friendliness and willingness to help others offered by the people in Trigg County. We haven’t lived here long but continue to be impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the people. Thanks again, and Merry Christmas.
