Mr. West died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at U. S. Highway 641 in Paris, Tenn. from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
He was born August 24, 1967 in Graves County to Ted West and Marcia Broadbent.
He was a graduate of Mayfield High School and Bluegrass Community College. He presently was a student at Murray State University where he was pursuing a degree in horticulture. He was the past manager of the Broadbent Nursery and presently worked at Sullivan Golf Course in Murray. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Murray.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert K. “Bob” Broadbent.
He is survived by his mother, Marcia Broadbent of Cadiz; his father, Ted West (and wife Fran) of Lake Powell, Fla.; one sister, Jan West (and husband Jon Goldberg) of Louisville; one step-brother, Robert Kendall Broadbent, II, of Nashville, Tenn.; two step-sisters, Anne Vaughn (and husband Mike Hargis) of Lexington, and Nicole Manscill Marinobich (and husband Mike) of Denver, Colo.; and two nieces, Lilly and Laura Goldberg of Louisville.
Pallbearers were Brad Rogers, Kendall Broadbent, Steve Reiter, John Watts, Steve Osborne, Matt Chumbler, Jerry Ray Tyler and John Wilson.
Music was provided by Eston Glover, vocalist, and Gary Thompson, organist.
