Funeral services for Dale Scott, 66, of Cadiz were held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Mike Wimberly officiated. Burial followed in the Hurricane Cemetery. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Scott died of cancer at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at his caretakers home.

He was born September 23, 1945 in Glasgow to the late John W. Scott and Wilma Neal Scott Jefferies.

He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired first shift production superintendent from Bremmer in Princeton. He participated in off road racing, was an avid Nascar fan and he loved boating.

He was preceded in death by one son, Greg Scott.

Mr. Scott is survived by two brothers, Morace Scott (and wife Janie) of Hazel Green and Garyon Scott (and wife Stella) of Burtkesville: two sisters, Patsy Scott of Cadiz and Christine Burnett (and husband Larry) of Maricopa, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Jon Scott of Ekron, Courtney Scott of Guston, Amanda and Chase Simcoe of Flathery, Brandon Scott of Guston and Waylon Banks of Flathery; two great-grandchildren, Landen Scott of Ekron and Abigayle Simcoe of Flathery; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jerry and Charlotte Trent of Ekron, Kenny and Martha Shipley and Girls of Cadiz and Maxine Gray of Cadiz.

Pallbearers were Jon and Brandon Scott, Chad Washburn, Ricky Wyatt, Kenny Shipley, Phil McKinley, Pat Debault, Frank Wright, Steve Koopman, Larry Burnett.

Music was provided Ellen, Emily and Sarah Shipley, vocalists, and Clarissa King, pianist.
