Funeral services for Albert “Booger” Kennedy, 82, of Cadiz, were held Thursday, December 29, 2011. The Revs. Bob McIntosh and Roy Field officiated. Burial followed with military honors in the Caldwell Blue Spring Cemetery located in Caldwell County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Kennedy died of natural causes at 7:26 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Trigg County Hospital.

He was born October 31, 1929 in Trigg County to the late John A. and Harvey Amos Mitchell Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Kennedy was retired from TVA where he worked as a pipefitter. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Plumber & Pipefitters Local No. 572.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Kennedy; and two sons, Doug and Leroy Kennedy.

He is survived by his wife, Ava Hutchison Kennedy of Cadiz; one brother, Buddy Kennedy of Grand Rivers; five sisters, Marie Francis of Cadiz, Mary Smalley of Paducah, Velva Yeomans of Paducah, Norma Cotton of Lamasco and Faye Fox of Cadiz; two sons, Stewart Kennedy of Hopkinsville and Stanley Kennedy of Jacksonville, Fla.;

two daughters, Lisa Roberts (and husband Robin) of Cadiz and Cherie Sherrill of Crofton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ray Cotton, Gerald Cotton, Larry Francis, Kevin Fox, Mike Smalley and Billy Fox. Music was provided by Sheila Lancaster, vocalist, and Deana Porterfield, vocalist.
