Funeral services for Mamie Faughn Banister, 87, of Cadiz, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Don Bunch will officiate. Burial will follow in the Siloam Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Banister; father, Killis T. Faughn; mother, Myrtie Allen Faughn; three brothers, Lacy, Tilman and Claude Faughn; and two sisters, Luveda Lancaster and Pansy Woods.

She is survived by two sons, William Banister (and wife Shirley) of Princeton and Larry Banister (and wife Judy) of Princeton; one daughter, Rita Faye Banister of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Craig Banister, Beth Parrish, Shane and Lori Banister, Brandi and Dennis Vandiver; six great-grandchildren, Katie Creekmur, Kayla Parrish, Casey Banister, Patsy Banister, Brycen Banister, Devan Oliver: three great-great-grandchildren, Trinity Creekmur, Kristian Creekmur and Sophie Parrish; six step-grandchildren, Whitni and Charity Boitnott, Emily Stallins, Drake Howard, Derrin Boyd and Alyia Towns.

Pallbearers will be Craig Banister, Shane Banister, Jonathan Stewart, Ken Hall, Stacey Woods and Kenneth Lancaster. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Bishop, Ricky Ladd and Dennis Vandiver.
