Oakley fills the vacancy created by the resignation of previous athletic director Dennis Walls in November.
"Mr. Oakley brings a vast array of experiences to the position of Trigg County Athletic Director," Hamby said in the release. "Mr. Oakley currently serves as a Ky. Teacher Internship Program Teacher Educator assisting beginning teachers in Trigg & Christian County. He has served as a principal, assistant principal/athletic director, and agriculture teacher in Christian County. Prior to his tenure in Christian County, Mr. Oakley served as Trigg County Sheriff, as Circuit Clerk, and as an agriculture Teacher in Trigg County Public Schools."
Oakley will begin his duties as Athletic Director on Monday, according to the release.
