CCCC president and chief executive officer Carter Hendricks chaired the meeting, telling members of the committee that the search for a new MAC director was ongoing, and he hoped to have someone in place soon. The deadline to turn in applications for the position of MAC director is Jan. 13.
“We hope to receive a good number of (applications) so we have a good number of candidates,” he said. “We have a volunteer committee that will help us make that decision, and anticipate a two-interview process. Our goal is to be able to make an announcement, hopefully, by the end of this month.
“What I will assure you of is this: If, for some reason, we don’t feel like we have the right candidate, we will wait until we do. We’ve got a good team, so I’d rather make sure that we have the right candidate before we would just go forward with anyone.”
Hendricks praised MAC relocation coordinator Sasha Stone and CCCC administrative assistant Tiffany Quebe for their increased efforts after Pendleton left the position of MAC director last month.
