The race for Circuit Court Clerk will be the only local one in the May Primary, held Tuesday, May 22, Trigg County Clerk Wanda Thomas said Friday afternoon.
Thomas said the deadline to file is Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Perry said she filed for re-election on Thursday. Jan. 5. Perry was appointed in November 2002 after Pat Wallace retired mid-term. She then ran in a special election against Clayton Woodall in 2003.
Meanwhile, the deadline for filing to run in the General Election, which will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, is Tuesday, Aug. 14, said Thomas. All six members of the Cadiz City Council, who all serve two-year terms, will be up this year.
