To the Editor:

I am thankful to be able to use The Cadiz Record to express my heartfelt appreciation to Sheila McNichols for her quick response in my time of emergency. I feel that God was using her to save my life on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 5.

I have COPD. I could not breathe. In my state of confusion, I just wanted some air. I went out on my side deck clad only in my shorts. I was beginning to pass out. Mrs. McNichols came by delivering my mail. She saw me and I was able to say, “Help me.” She immediately called 911, which responded within minutes. I was immediately put on life support and Life-flighted from Trigg County Hospital to Western Baptist Hospital where I was admitted to Intensive Care. I will have a long recuperation period.

I am so thankful that Mrs. McNichols responded so quickly by calling 911 and appreciative of our Emergency Medical Service quick response. The list goes on and on which include my friends and neighbors who have prayed fro me and helped in son many ways.

Words cannot express my humble gratitude to all and my praise to God.

Thank you, Cadiz Record.

Trice Moore
