“The citizens of this area are tremendously generous in their support of worthy community causes,” race director Toni Martinazzi said. “Even with this lagging economy, sponsors have opened their hearts and wallets to help. A total of 190 people paid the entry fee and registered to run or walk through the festive streets of downtown Cadiz in the cold before the evening Christmas parade. All of the volunteers worked diligently to make the race a success. They get better every year!”
There were awards given to the overall first male and female runners and for the first three in each age group. Martinazzi said, “From the winner’s list, one can see that most of the runners came from outside Trigg County. Our efforts have brought many visitors to our county because runners also bring family spectators with them.”
