Funeral services for Mr. Wayman “Cookie” Cook, 83, of Princeton, were held Friday, January 20, 2012 at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. The Revs. Steve Cook assisted by Rev. Cliff Jones and Rev. Jeff McCarty officiated. Burial followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Morgan’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Cook died following a long illness at 11:23 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

He was born August 9, 1928 in Trigg County to the late Leland Cook and Bertha Creamer Cook.

Mr. Cook was a retired mechanic having worked at the Lewis Service Station. He was a member of First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lee Cook; and one brother, Harley Cook.

He is survived by his wife Mary Haddock Cook of Princeton; one sister, Nell Cook Barnett of Lyon County; four sons, Eddie Cook (and wife Linda) of Princeton, Steve Cook (and wife Dicie) of Cooper, Texas, Brent Cook (and wife Leslie) of Princeton and Gary Cook (and wife Janice) of Princeton; one daughter, Becky Walker (and husband Danny) of Kuttawa; two step-sons, Ronnie Jenkins (and wife Kay) of Fredonia and Donnie Jenkins (and wife Tracey) of Princeton; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
