Dwight Wisdom, the Princeton man accused of killing Eric Jones of Cadiz on Dec. 4 was formally indicted for murder by a Trigg County Grand Jury on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

According to the indictment and the arrest warrant, 19-year-old Princeton resident Dwight D. Wisdom Jr. – also nicknamed “Whitey” – murdered Eric Jones, 26, at a birthday party at the Trigg County Recreation Complex early on the morning of Sunday, Dec. 4.

The indictment lists the murder charge as a capital offense.

The Kentucky State Police, which are in charge of the investigation, have said that Wisdom fired several shots outside the party, one of which hit Jones in the shoulder, and that the shot ultimately led to his death.

Trigg District Judge James Redd presided over the preliminary hearing, where lead Detective Steve Silfies of the KSP talked about what the witnesses told him and other law enforcement individuals.
