Mary Alice died of natural causes Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 6:05 p.m. at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz.
She was born August 26, 1933 in Trigg County to the late James Tandy Hammonds and Mary Monica Perry Hammonds.
She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Trigg County and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur Burnett Hammonds, Clarence Earl Hammonds and James Thomas Hammonds; one son, Tommy Overton; and one daughter, Betty June.
She is survived by two brothers, Howard Wallace Hammonds of Cadiz and Monty Ray Hammonds of Grand Rivers; and one sister, Ethel Woodard of Cadiz.
Pallbearers were Joseph Cullum, Jr., Michael Puckett, Roger Puckett, Steve Neel, Timmy Smith and James Puckett.
Music was provided by Pam Meador, vocalist, and Betty Oakley, pianist.
