Mr. Noel died of natural causes at 12:15 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at Covington’s Convalescent Center in Hopkinsville.
He was born January 12, 1916 in Trigg County to the late Hugh Tyler and Josie Finley Noel.
Mr. Noel was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a retired sawmill worker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Jane Grant Noel; two brothers, Lacy Noel and William Noel; two sisters, Louina Adams and Mary Lois Figgins; one son, Douglas Earl Noel; and two grandchildren, Kaila and Christopher Noel.
He is survived by one sister, Gladys Merle Ahart of Cadiz; three sons, Larry Noel (and wife Hilda) of Cadiz, Jerry “Mickey” Noel (and wife Sherry) of Hopkinsville and Tony Noel (and wife Carol) of Gracey; six grandchildren, Robert Earl “Robbie” Noel, Amanda Dawn Noel, Allison Denise Malone, Dusty Lane Noel, Christi Lynn Noel and Ryan Eugene Noel; nine great-grandchildren, Anna Malone, Lindsey Malone, Devin Crabtree, Trevor Lynn Noel, Tyler Reed Noel, Colton Blake Noel, Janessa Noel, Haylee Ryan and Colby Noel; and two step-great-grandchildren, Dawson and Alyssa Ryan.
Pallbearers were Robert Earl “Robbie” Noel, Ryan Eugene Noel, Ramie Colson, Jr., Ray Grant, Jimmy Grant and Darren Grant. Music provided by Carolyn Stallons, pianist, and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Choir.
