To the Editor:

In reference to the Helping Hands discussions, it appears that a quote published in The Cadiz Record on Feb. 1 has been misconstrued and I would like to clarify my feelings and statements on the issue.

As a resident on Line Street in Cadiz, I feel that the increased traffic and need for parking will create a problem not seen before. Also, if there are clothes being offered for sale, there will possibly be yet another increase in traffic and parking need generated above and beyond any requirement for the normal services provided.

The space available is at a minimum as is. It was trying enough when there were church services being held there, and at that it was once or twice a week, not the increased time frames that the Helping Hand may need.

With my grandchildren and neighbors with children living on the street, the increase in traffic on an already narrow street could become a safety problem as well.
