This is our opinion in reference to another person’s opinion about the ugly bridge: No Way!
Extremely glad to hear that no one was injured on the Eggers Ferry Bridge accident.
We live in Texas. Our mother and family members were born and raised in Cadiz. It will always be home where friends and family welcome us back. We cross that royal bridge yearly, knowing we are going to have to “suck in” since we drive a large vehicle. Everyone we pass, large or small, are courteous enough to stick tight to their side of the bridge.
In hindsight, on night trips with no one on the bridge we have slowed down to watch tugboats go under the bridge – just a serene sight.
Again, so grateful no one was hurt on this bridge accident. The boat driver must feel miserable in this situation. We are anxious about the new bridge planned for the future. But for now, “Over the river and through the woods to Grandmothers we go.”
Thank you old bridge for many, many wonderful paths home.
