Funeral services for Jean Evelyn Banister Bush, 92, of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Cadiz, will be held at 1 p,m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with visitation from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8.

The Rev. Don Bunch will officiate. Burial will follow in the East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Bush died of natural causes at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Medical Center of Plano in Plano, Texas.

She was born January 1, 1920 in Trigg County to the late Jackson and Australia Evangeline Carpenter Banister.

Mrs. Bush was a member of First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas and was a former member of Cadiz Baptist Church. She retired as a teacher’s aide of public schools located in Evansville, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Bush; and three sisters, Thelma Lancaster, Edith Campbell and Blanche Freeman.

She is survived by one sister, Caroline Ricks of Cadiz; two daughters, Lina Gonterman (and husband Chet) and Kathy Lowry (and husband Andy), all of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Tim and Brian Gonterman and Todd and Jarrett Lowry; and four great-grandchildren Kyle and Paige Gonterman and Alden and Nate Lowry.

Pallbearers will be Tim Gonterman, Brian Gonterman, Todd Lowry, Jarrett Lowry, Bill Bush and Bob Bush.

Music will be preformed by Clay King, vocalist and pianist and Rose Bush, pianist.
