ARCHERY: ArrowCats win region, prep for state

The Trigg County ArrowCats won the Kentucky National Archery in the Schools Program Region 1 championship Saturday at Wildcat Gym. All three teams earned an invitation to the KYNASP State Championship set for April 3 in Louisville.

Trigg archers had many top five finishers in each division as well. Individual award winners are as follows:

Fourth Grade Male: Sam Utter third, Jevan Hamby second, and CJ Ahart first

Fifth Grade Female: Katelyn Slone fifth, Abby Bush fourth, Lexie Wright third, Macy Mitchell second, and Addison Francis first

Fifth Grade Male: Derek Joiner fifth, Ethan Nolcox fourth, Gage Robertson second, and Wyatt Wagoner first

Sixth Grade Female: Anna Malone fifth, Jasmine Ingram fourth, Ashlen Hatfield second, Amie Woolard second, and Kaylin Smith first

Sixth Grade Male: Andrew Amsden fifth, Taylor Hampton fourth, and Marshall Evans first

Middle School Female: Kimberlee Shelton fifth, Brooklyn Skinner fourth, DeAnna Ladd third, Elizabeth Wagoner second, and Kaila Cunningham first

Middle School Male; Braden Miller fifth, Matthew Davis fourth, Robert Deason third, Austin Humphries second, and Clay Stevens first
