The Gateway Garden Club held its regular meeting on March 14 at the John L. Street Library.

President Jan Malmer called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. Becky Oliver, recording secretary, read the minutes and they were approved as read.

Kathy Dietrich, treasurer, gave the financial report and it was filed as given.

President Malmer prepared the yearbooks and they were given to members. Monies for Penny Pines Pot was collected. Jim Mullen, club member, was hurt during a storm last week and will not be able to do the Farmer’s Market, so that activity has been canceled.

Motion – Becky Oliver made the motion to work with the Chamber again this year on selecting Beauty Spots. Motion carried. More information about this will be published at a later date.

House Bill 12RS HB 226 is coming up for a vote. This bill is to cut trees and put up billboards in Kentucky. The Gateway Garden Club is against this and would like anyone who wishes to contact their representative telling them to vote against this bill.
