Trigg’s boys team finished 16th out of 21 teams with 13 points, while the girls finished 21st out of 22 teams with 2.5 points.
Jakelze Martin was the top point-scorer for the boys team, earning six points in the triple jump (third, 42 feet, 1 inch) and three points in the high jump (sixth, 5-8). Trigg earned three points in the long jump – two by Taylor Mitchuson (seventh, 19-3.5) and one by Jayven Jones (eighth, 18-10.5) – and one in the 4x100-meter relay, as Jones, Mitchuson, Deonquez Nance and Devonte Nance teamed to take eighth in 46.1 seconds.
In girls events, Trigg’s 4x100-meter relay team of Monica Jones, Shelby Grubbs, Lanita Hughes and Shannon Mack earned two points by finishing seventh in :54.9, and Valerie Barnes earned a half-point in the pole vault (eighth, 6-6).
